My mom always say to me that I came to the outside world earlier than scheduled because on the day I was born, October 2, 1990, she was just about to go to the market as her daily morning task but he vividly hear a small voice that was telling her to go to the hospital first before anything else. She doesn’t feel anything bad in her body and her next check-up would be on the second week of October pa but she believed that the person who was talking to her was the God hence she followed the voice. So instead of heading to the supermarket, she went to the hospital.

Then, she just saw herself lying in the stretcher and her ob-gyne was rushing her to the operating room. The doctor informed her right there and there that she will undergo in a caesarian operation. At first she was having a second thought because, we all know, the caesarian session is much expensive than the normal session but of course the life of her child cannot pay any amount of money.

The ob-gyne explained that my umbilical cord entwine in my body, if my mother was late even for a few hours she would have been giving birth to a lifeless child.

Imagine if my mom followed her scheduled check-up or if she just go to the market first before going to the hospital or even if she woke up late, I would never see the world.


My first miracle.

Surviving Sagada. Wiw!

When I got married, one of my top places to visit in the Philippines is Sagada (together with El Nido, Bicol, Hundred Islands, Cagayan Valley and Coron) Way back 2009, our church had a Mission Camp at Mt. Praise Assemblies of God in Sagada, which is also affiliated in our church in Manila. We had our bible study, prayer meeting, visitations and others. Oh I must admit I missed those sometimes. Although we had our rest and recreation time, we never had the chance to try the cave connection. When we went in the mouth of the cave, it rained. They make me believe that even in the littlest rain, it is unsafe to enter in the cave. (but later I found out that this is not true) Haha. So from there on I long to try the cave connection. My longing was revived when we saw the movie “That Thing called Tadhana” when the main setting was in Baguio and in Sagada. risk?

Taking every risk. Leaving everyone behind. Or the dreams to be forgotten. All the plans that were set aside. Everything was done for you. But as the saying says “the higher the risk the greater the reward or the punishment” but I know in my heart whatever will it be I know what reward will  I gain in the near future so all I can say is ALL THE RISKS ARE WORTH IT 'coz you are worth fighting for.
