The Tita is Getting Married!!!

Last weekend the titas of manila (my high school friends called ourselves titasofmanila , we really don't have a group name unlike when we where in highschool) had a surprise shower party for me.

The plan really was to have a despdida party for Russell, one of our friends, she decided to migrate in the US and the she will start her new journey with her fiancé. She was so brave to go alone and I admire her for that.

I honestly don’t want to go or to have any gathering because it is crunch time for my thesis! I am far far far behind my schedule but I also thought that it would be our last get together so I need to open my schedule no matter what!

I’ll skip the stress part of the day which was I need to finish the laundry, send the bahala na si batman kind of paper which was also due the same day, the commute and the grocery. :)

 Overall I enjoyed the party. the program. the kwentuhan (sa kanila lang talaga ako nakakakwento ng ganun eh), the games and the swimming-turned-pictorial-turned-shooting. 

To Leslie, I know you're the mastermind of this surprise and I really appreciate it. The result was oh-so-nice. <3 Thank you for always being there even if our place was so far. 

To the Titas of Manila thank you for all the efforts. Thank you for including me in your so hectic schedule! I know next year would be different from our previous years. You know what I mean. We will have our own family. Few years from now, our Christmas dinner celebration would be giving gifts to our inanaanaks instead of exchange gift to ourselves. But I know, we were part of each others life no matter what!

Surviving Sagada. Wiw!

When I got married, one of my top places to visit in the Philippines is Sagada (together with El Nido, Bicol, Hundred Islands, Cagayan Valley and Coron) Way back 2009, our church had a Mission Camp at Mt. Praise Assemblies of God in Sagada, which is also affiliated in our church in Manila. We had our bible study, prayer meeting, visitations and others. Oh I must admit I missed those sometimes. Although we had our rest and recreation time, we never had the chance to try the cave connection. When we went in the mouth of the cave, it rained. They make me believe that even in the littlest rain, it is unsafe to enter in the cave. (but later I found out that this is not true) Haha. So from there on I long to try the cave connection. My longing was revived when we saw the movie “That Thing called Tadhana” when the main setting was in Baguio and in Sagada. Taking every risk. Leaving everyone behind. Or the dreams to be forgotten. All the plans that were set aside. Everything was done for you. But as the saying says “the higher the risk the greater the reward or the punishment” but I know in my heart whatever will it be I know what reward will  I gain in the near future so all I can say is ALL THE RISKS ARE WORTH IT 'coz you are worth fighting for.
