Last weekend the titas of manila (my high school friends  called ourselves titasofmanila  , we really don't have a group name unlike when we where in highschool) had a surprise shower party for me. The plan really was to have a despdida party for Russell, one of our friends, she decided to migrate in the US and the she will start her new journey with her fiancé. She was so brave to go alone and I admire her for that. I honestly don’t want to go or to have any gathering because it is crunch time for my thesis! I am far far far behind my schedule but I also thought that it would be our last get together so I need to open my schedule no matter what! We still need to have a Pamamanhikan. It wasn't really the traditional pamamanhikan because in the Philippines, when you say pamamanhikan, this is the event when the guy/groom’s family comes to the home of the girl/bride’s family with the purpose of “asking the girl’s parents’ permission to wed the affianced pair.” A tradition that shows respect and honor for the girl’s parents before getting married.  That's why I can say that it was Pamamanhikan the Millennial Version. Earlier this year we already booked our Photographer and videographer because I read blogs that aside from venue and caterer, photo and video are the priority suppliers. So, we joined different wedding, actually, my mind was already closed that I want to book supplier “A” because (1) they are cheap, (2) they had many freebies such as save the date, SDE, photoalbum. Etc.ect. and (3) they are cheap. Although, I read negative feedbacks about them, still I want to book them because as I’ve said a while ago my mind was “closed”.   I am engaged! Engaged with the most wonderful engineer in the whole wide world!!! We got engaged last 02-14-16. Then, we planned our wedding on 12-14-16! 10 months of planning.. (Lord, help us!) Anyway, we had a pre-nup pictorial last Sunday (07/24/16) but before I make kwento on what happened in our pre-nup, I’ll share to you my engagement story. Before I will become busy again for my incoming term, I post a blog our Puerto Princesa Trip.  I am really on the mood to compose a blog now so I’ll take this opportunity before my katamaran hits me again! This Puerto Princesa trip was one of the most memorable one! Why? Because first, I was with my MBA colleagues and second it was Gerald’s first airplane ride. That’s why I need to document it very well. Hehehe before, during, after The night before our flight, I asked Gerald to sleep at our house since our flight was to early ad we cannot afford to be late!  And because we’re oh so excited, we arrived at the terminal 2 hours before. Haha! Anyway, It’s better early than sorry. There was a van waiting for us in the terminal to our hotel. Our hotel, Microtel, was too far from the city proper.
